WIP shading of the character design for the "story Idea project"

granted it's been a long time since i posted my last update, due to some life events and working on and finishing a commission. this one is almost done, shading and more edits are gonna be made to this art. still trying to push myself with doing more background stuff. however i learned having TOO MUCH detail can very much detract from the drawing.

after this art piece, i want to try to continue on the small side project. granted this side project has been much more harder to do since my current life stuff and at the moment, a bit of depression. (one of these days i gotta make a drawing describing what i feel)

my one goal for this year is to at least get some content of the side project out here.

anyhow, if you're reading this, thanks for peeking here. and i hope you enjoy more of my stuff later down the road!

Current WIP

Current WIP for my friends commission, onces i get the lineart down ill be starting base color and shading, then after this piece is finally complete, i need to finish up the character concept i have been working on. then after this one, i'll be free to start doing more stuff for the story i had been trying to get out there.

This will likely be a very small project on my end and will have to slowly build my way to it. then again that can always change depending how this sorta progress.

I hope you guys who see this will at least give it a chance when it slowely comes to life!

so right now im working on a commission that a good friend of mine commissioned for me to do,

its an odd tank that he wanted me to draw. apparently a VERY experimental tank/missile platform that could extend its missile weapon system. (Trilaterale Versuchsträger) im making a 3D basic primitive model to use as reference (plus an excuse for me to play around with blender more)

the other one is a character concept drawing for the side idea i have been pondering over

still working on background draft and the character story/lore

i hope you guys like this update or whatever, i hope to have these done soon (at least the metal knightess drawing)

so i'm still working on my coloring for my character OC for a small idea that i have been sorta sitting on, granted an idea that i'm just so afraid to do due to fear of failure....but i feel ill regret it in the long run. if i don't try, then it might as well not exist and it will forever just be "an idea".

i'm getting some prep done this year to hopefully get a taste of it out in the world. it will be a hobby and i know for a fact this might not go anywhere. but rather put SOMETHING of it. at least knowing i took action, and not do anything at all with it

(Color Wip for a character concept)

i have finished the newgrounds secret santa event and now im working on a few things, one is a drawing for my somwhat still underbaked idea i have been sorta playing around with

the gun i made a 3D model as a reference (granted was a bit of a time waster and i did not have to NEARLY have to go this far in making a simple Ref)

im still working on Mr Tube mech but i have been having problems with his rig. on top of that i have to redo some parts to making it work correctly without clipping in a werid way

Honestly Proud of how far i am in my learning in blender. And so far i have just figured out how to do SOME IK rigging, of course im FAR from it and i need to learn how to use Substance Painter (I bought a perpetnal licensee when i heard the 2023 might be locked in Subscription) But DAMN i have come a long way in my Digital Artist Journey. however Once Dec 1st hits, ill be turning my focus on the Newgrounds event. Once thats done, ill be coming back to this model and hopfully finiishing him. then after that back to another round of art.

as im waiting for the start of an event on newgrounds, i have been still continueing goofing and learning with blender

hopefully, after im done with the event on newgrounds ill hopefully get back into this model and finally learn how to properly rig it.

still working on the very much late spooky drawing. im currently working on the background arts shading. after this drawing is done, im hoping to maybe do another holiday themed drawing or maybe start doing more stuff like maybe join some of the newgrounds events/art calab stuff. honestly might not happen, since i am still trying to learn blender on the side and that has been lacking with my current life rn. so that might happen and i might go a bit quiet for awhile

most likely ill post updates and share some things of my learning with blender.

So i was hoping to finish this before the end of spooky day. but i want to put more effort in this instead of scrapping the rest of this and half assing it. so for now here's a wip of it. should be done in a week or two. i'm trying to do more BG art stuff added to my drawings to to push myself more.

hello, just an update on my life, still here. currently working on a Halloween drawing right now. hopefully it will be done before the day of the spook. but hopefully i can get one more drawing done also this month on time.

unfortunately retail job is still a thing in my life. so still will be a thing that will kind of get in the way of my art. one day i will achieve my dream to do art for a job. just one step at a time
